You tend to forget bad things can happen in one’s life when you’re not going through a storm. Nonetheless, when the storm does hit, it leaves us frustrated, confused and angry. Why did it happen to me? What did I do? I’m not a bad person! Why do bad things seem to happen to good people? Questions that frankly most people don’t have a clue on answering.
I believe last year, happened for a reason. I went through the toughest storm of my life, which almost torn me apart completely. I know that I know, if it wasn’t for having faith in my heavenly father. I would have never made it through. Never made it through surgery, never made it through the grief of a friend who I trusted, betrayed me by wiping out my account. On top of that school had become a forgotten factor. Lost, hurt and aggravated. Life seemed to be going on fine for everyone around me, ticking as time waits for no one. I had to somehow pull myself together and stop, to think. And there it came, like a twinkle of an eye, my light had just dimmed due to the storm, it wasn’t lit out. just simply dimmed.
I’m absolutely certain a higher power exist, and that higher power to me is God. I’m in no way enforcing that belief in you, but simply stating my dearest opinion. I have mine! You have yours!
What’s my point? Well, there is a light in everyone. It could be little, for others it could be dimmed, whatever it is, I know one thing for sure, that little, dimmed light is meant to shine. Read this quote by Marianne Williamson ! Dwell on it! Have an open mind and give it a chance. Maybe then you will understand that there is a plan for everyone, and just maybe then you might discover your true self and that it’s your right to really shine.
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.
It is not just in some; it is in everyone.
And, as we let our own light shine, we consciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
So do what you do best, Shine!!!
